How it all began…
Denise Everett created Sugar and Bake as a fun informative baking site for those interested in cake decorating and all things sweet. She has been a baker most of her life, learning from her mother while growing up and decorating from Wilton classes and top professionals. She worked at a bakery to “learn the trade”. Denise has been a custom cake decorator since 2013. She now runs a baking business out of her home and travels the world learning new trends and sharing them with her readers.
Denise has learned from some of the top cake decorators in the world including: Mich Turner (UK), Kara Andretta, Liz Merrick, Ruth Rickey, Kathleen Lange, Aaron McInnis, Rosalind Chan, Jörg Amsler, Barb Evans, Toba Garrett, Joshua John Russel, Roland and Marsha Winbeckler. Denise loves cake decorating, photography, horseback riding, sewing and surfing the net. She spends time with her husband and family pets in Texas, where they live.
